Holy crap. Yet another american holiday that the Canucks have ripped off?
First, they take our Thanksgiving and move it up a month (pretending like no one would notice). Next, they steal the 4th of July by moving it up a couple of days. Then, they take OUR New Years Day, move it up a couple of days again, and call it something like Boxing Day. It's really shameful. |

Sorry Clobby, I totally forgot that you guys had Canada Day first.
Our family didn't do fireworks this year just because they scare my dog too much -- he's born on Canada Day (and he's 12 years old now) so it's basically the worst possible birthday present each year. Even when a firework goes off somewhere in the distance and you can barely hear it and he's inside, he will just start shaking uncontrollably for at least 5-10 minutes. Worried it'll kill him one of these years. |

My dog has been hiding in the basement for 3 straight days LOL! I know how it is.
We went down to the lake (Ontario, that is) to see some awesome fireworks accompanied by the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra (apparently world famous). It was really cool! |
